Tulsa RB To Miss Season, Seek 6th Year Of Eligibility

An ankle injury will sideline the University of Tulsaâ€™s leading rusher. Running back Courtney Tennial sustained the injury during preseason drills, and will miss the entire 2007 season.

Tennial, a transfer from Oklahoma, rushed for 862 yards and 14 touchdowns last season, making him TUâ€™s leading rusher.

Tennial will seek a waiver from the NCAA for a sixth year of eligibility. He redshirted at OU in 2003, didnâ€™t play in â€™04 while Adrian Peterson was making his Heisman Trophy bid, he transferred to Tulsa in 2005 and sat out, per NCAA rules.
