NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Preseason Big 12 defensive player of the year Reggie Smith is expected to be full speed for the season-opener Saturday against North Texas.

Smith has been held out of recent practices and the a preseason scrimmage because of what's been called a minor muscle injury.

Coach Bob Stoops says Smith will be 100% for Saturday's game.

Kickoff is at 6 p.m.
