The Eagles and Bears broke the most important rule of the preseason: Don't get anyone hurt.

A.J. Feeley, Philadelphia's backup quarterback, broke his left hand, and first-round draft pick Greg Olsen, Chicago's projected starting tight end, hurt his knee.

Feeley was injured in the Eagles' 13-11 loss to the New York Jets, one of 14 games Thursday night.

``He has to see a hand specialist,'' coach Andy Reid said. ``He might be OK.''

Feeley insisted he will be ready for the team's opener at Green Bay on Sept. 9.

If Feeley, a right-hander, is out, rookie Kevin Kolb becomes the No. 2 behind McNabb.

The Bears lost Olsen to a knee injury late in the first half of a 19-9 home loss to Cleveland. He was hurt while getting tackled after catching a short pass and will undergo an MRI exam.

Olsen had been expected to bolster the passing attack with his skills over the middle.

Elsewhere, it was San Diego 16, San Francisco 13; Seattle 19, Oakland 14; Tennessee 30, Green Bay 14; St. Louis 10, Kansas City 3; Denver 21, Arizona 3; Minnesota 23, Dallas 14; Tampa Bay 31, Houston 24; Pittsburgh 19, Carolina 3; Buffalo 16, Detroit 13; Jacksonville 31, Washington 14; New England 27, New York Giants 20; and New Orleans 7, Miami 0.

On Friday night, it's Indianapolis at Cincinnati and Baltimore at Atlanta to conclude the exhibition season.

Jets 13, Eagles 11

At Philadelphia, Mike Nugent kicked a 35-yard field goal as time expired, lifting the Jets to 3-1 in the preseason. Marques Tuiasosopo was 9-for-16 for 78 yards for the Jets and led the winning drive.

``I was pleased with the mechanics of that two-minute drive,'' coach Eric Mangini said.

Kolb threw a 31-yard TD pass to Zac Collie with 2:57 left to get the Eagles (1-3) within one point. Instead of going for a tie, Reid went for the lead. Kolb rolled right and tossed a pass to Nate Ilaoa to put Philadelphia ahead 11-10.

Browns 19, Bears 9

Brady Quinn was efficient, leading the Browns to a touchdown at Chicago (3-1). Expected starter Charlie Frye played the first two possessions, and Derek Anderson led a field-goal drive late in the first quarter before Quinn entered the game. He was 9-of-14 for 64 yards with an interception for Cleveland (3-1).

Chargers 16, 49ers 13

At San Diego, the Chargers (3-1) scored 13 points off turnovers as most of their starters sat out. San Francisco QB Alex Smith punctuated his homecoming with two turnovers and third-stringer Shaun Hill threw three interceptions.

Despite urging coach Mike Nolan to let him play with his broken hand now healed, NFC rushing leader Frank Gore stayed on the sideline for the 49ers (1-3).

Seahawks 19, Raiders 14

At Seattle, Daunte Culpepper completed 11 of 19 passes for 108 yards and led the offense to its only touchdown, staking claim for the starting job in Oakland (2-2).

Josh McCown was also effective, completing five of 12 passes while showing some elusiveness.

Seneca Wallace, playing into the fourth quarter while starting quarterback Matt Hasselbeck sat out his second complete game this preseason, was 12-for-26 for 181 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions for Seattle (3-1).

Titans 30, Packers 14

Tennessee will rely on Vince Young and Lendale White for much of its offense, and they came through against the visiting Packers (2-2). Young threw for a touchdown and ran for another and running back White added 77 total yards.

Rookie Chris Davis had a 70-yard punt return for a TD, and Rob Bironas kicked field goals of 51, 33 and 46 yards for Tennessee (3-1).

Brett Favre played two series and was 8-of-10 for 82 yards.

Rams 10, Chiefs 3

At St. Louis, Larry Johnson got his only work of the preseason for the Chiefs (0-4), carrying three times for 12 yards in his first action since ending his holdout. But third-string quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Marques Hagans in the third quarter to give the Rams (2-2) a 10-0 lead.

Broncos 21, Cardinals 3

The host Broncos (2-2), beset by injuries all preseason, also lost two more key contributors. Defensive back Karl Paymah sustained a concussion in the second quarter and was taken off on a stretcher, and tight end Stephen Alexander left with a bruised left leg.

Matt Leinart struggled in his only series, completing two of six passes for 13 yards for the Cardinals (0-4).

Vikings 23, Cowboys 14

At Minneapolis, Ryan Longwell kicked three field goals for the Vikings (2-2). Brooks Bollinger threw for 109 yards and a touchdown in just under two quarters.

Matt Moore was also impressive for Dallas (2-2) after fumbling the exchange on his second snap of the game, completing nine of his first 10 passes and finishing with 94 yards and a touchdown.

Buccaneers 31, Texans 24

Luke McCown threw for 203 yards and three touchdowns in the first half, and Bruce Gradkowski threw a 31-yard scoring pass to Paris Warren with three minutes left to lift the Buccaneers (3-1). But Warren injured his left leg when he was tackled crossing the goal line and was carted off the field.

The visiting Texans (2-2) led 14-0 before McCown threw TD passes to Warren, B.J. Askew and Lionel Gates on the way to a 24-17 halftime lead.

Steelers 19, Panthers 3

Forced to wait out a lightning delay before sitting through a downpour, fans watched Jeff Reed kick four field goals and Tyrone Carter return an interception 32 yards for a touchdown with a minute left. The Steelers (4-1) forced six turnovers.

David Carr was 8-for-12 for 85 yards, including a 46-yard pass to rookie Dwayne Jarrett for the host Panthers (1-3).

Bills 16, Lions 14

At Detroit, rookie Trent Edwards directed a 90-yard drive that set up a tiebreaking field goal with 1:46 left, and Buffalo (2-2) recovered a fumble on the ensuing kickoff.

Kevin Kasper brought the final kickoff out of the middle of the end zone while teammate Brian Calhoun tried to stop him and turned over the ball for Detroit (2-2).

Jaguars 31, Redskins 14

At Jacksonville, third-string quarterback Quinn Gray threw for two TDs and Jacksonville (3-1) rallied to beat Washington (2-2).

Skins QB Jason Campbell returned to the starting lineup after missing a game with a bruised left knee, completing all five passes for 54 yards and his first touchdown of the preseason.

Patriots 27, Giants 20

Matt Cassell started for the host Patriots (2-2) and led two scoring drives, ending in Stephen Gostkowski's 37-yard field goal and Heath Evans' 1-yard touchdown run that gave them the lead for good, 10-7.

Eli Manning led a 16-play touchdown drive on the opening series, then went to the sideline with most of the starters for New York (1-3). Backup Jared Lorenzen was sacked seven times.

Saints 7, Dolphins 0

At New Orleans, rookie Pierre Thomas may have played himself into an NFL roster spot as he rushed 16 times for 81 yards and the only touchdown, and had two catches for 47 yards and added a decent kickoff return. Fellow rookie Antonio Pittman rushed for 77 yards for New Orleans (3-2).

Rookie John Beck had trouble getting the offense going for Miami (2-2). He was 8-of-15 for 63 yards and two interceptions and was sacked four times. Saints safety Chris Reis had two interceptions.
