NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ When redshirt freshman Sam Bradford opens at quarterback for Oklahoma the Sooners' offensive coordinator wants him to be ready to take a chance if it's presented.

Kevin Wilson says Bradford must first take care of the football but not be afraid to ``take a shot'' if the opportunity presents itself.

But Wilson also doesn't want Bradford living on the edge and taking too much of a risk.

Bradford was named last week as starting quarterback for Saturday's North Texas game.
