One Arrested After Shootout With Police

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ One man is in custody after a high speed chase ended in a shootout with Oklahoma City Police in northwest Oklahoma City. No injuries are reported but police say Keith Jones Junior was arrested on a complaint of assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer.

Captain Steve McCool says the incident began Sunday afternoon when a motorcycle officer tried to stop a car for speeding on Interstate 44.

McCool says the driver sped away and at one point leaned out the car window and fired at the officer. When the driver turned onto a dead end street he got out of the car and ran while again shooting at the officer.

Jones was found hiding on the roof of a house in the neighborhood.
