NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ The Oklahoma RedHawks' bid to make the Pacific Coast League playoffs takes a hit as they lose 1-0 Sunday to the Nashville Sounds.

Oklahoma entered Sunday a half-game behind the Albuquerque Isotopes in the PCL's American South Division. Albuquerque was playing Memphis Sunday.

The RedHawks managed only four hits off Nashville pitchers Mark DiFelice and Chris Spurling. The duo combined for nine srikeouts.

Oklahoma starter Edinson Volquez pitched six innings and struck out eight batters while allowing four hits.

Nashville scored the game's only run in the bottom of the 7th inning, as Laynce Nix walked and eventually scored on a sacrifice fly by Calix Crabbe.

Oklahoma reliever Luther Hackman took the pitching loss while Spurling recorded the win for the Sounds.
