EDMOND, Okla. (AP) -- Edmond police are looking for a 10-year-old boy who disappeared with his father early Wednesday morning. And Oklahoma County sheriff's deputies are looking for the father in connection with a kidnapping and sexual assault Tuesday night.
Edmond police spokeswoman Glynda Chu says 10-year-0ld Andrew Patterson was last seen by his mother about 2 a.m. and was with his father -- Jerry Patterson.
Andrew Patterson did not show up for school Wednesday and Chu says police want to make a welfare check to be sure he isn't in danger.
Sheriff's office spokesman Mark Myers says Jerry Patterson is a person of interest in the kidnapping and sexual assault. Myers says the kidnapping occurred in Edmond and the assault was in Oklahoma County.
Jerry Patterson is 40, about 5-feet-11 inches tall and 140 pounds with brownish-gray hair and brown eyes.
Andrew Patters is white, 4-feet-10 and walks with a limp. He weighs 75- to 90-pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.
