ELGIN, Okla. (AP) -- Groundbreaking was Wednesday afternoon in southwestern Oklahoma for a plant where a new weapon for the military will be assembled. BAE Systems is starting construction in Elgin on the 150,000-square-foot plant for the Non-Line of Sight Cannon.

The cannon is a new combat vehicle to be used by the Army to support American troops.

The plant will have about 100 employees and is to be the anchor of the new Fort Sill Industrial Park in southwest Elgin.
