NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma football coach Bob Stoops says he's hoping running back Allen Patrick will be able to return to practice later this week.

Patrick has been out since spraining an ankle August 8th and he's still wearing a protective boot. Stoops says the boot is mainly for protection to the ankle.

Redshirt freshman DeMarco Murray was the featured back during Saturday's scrimmage and rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns.
