PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Adam Jones won the freestyle motocross in the Vans Invitational on Sunday night, ending Nate Adams' season-opening AST Dew Tour winning streak at two.

The 23-year-old Jones, the X Games winner from Minden, Nev., earned 91.17 on his first run. Adams, unable to top Jones in his final run, was second with a score of 90.83. Mike Mason finished third at 89.57.

"I am really excited," Jones said. "It's cool to win and rove that X Games wasn't just a fluke. I didn't have a lot of pressure to come out here and win. It's not all about winning for me as long as I know I gave the best run."

With the win, Jones cut Adams' lead in the season standings from 96 to 71 points.

The four-day competition was the third of five stops on the Dew Tour that features skateboarding, BMX and freestyle motocross. The tour will visit Salt Lake City in September and conclude in October in Orlando, Fla.
