NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops says running back Allen Patrick and tight end Brody Eldridge will be held out of the Sooners' scrimmage Saturday in Norman.
Patrick has been wearing a protective boot on his right foot after spraining his ankle last week. He also missed the Sooners' scrimmage last weekend.
Stoops says he doesn't know when Patrick will be able to return, but he hopes it will be sometime next week. The Sooners' season opener against North Texas is two weeks away.
Eldridge has been practicing after having surgery to fix a broken ankle this summer, but he was held out of the first scrimmage.
Defensive tackle Gerald McCoy says he also expects to miss the scrimmage after injuring his right shoulder in practice this week.
