STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ The faculty athletic representative at Oklahoma State University for more than two decades has died.
School officials say Gerald Lage died Wednesday at his Stillwater home. He was 66.
Lage had worked at OSU since 1966, when he joined the College of Business Administration as an assistant professor. He also worked as the director of graduate studies in the department of economics (1974-77) and director of the OSU Center for International Trade and Development (1985-87).
Lage earned a bachelor's degree in agriculture business in 1962 from Iowa State University. He finished his doctorate in economics in 1967 at the University of Minnesota.
Lage served as the OSU faculty athletic representative with the NCAA, the former Big Eight Conference and the Big 12 Conference from 1983-2007.
