A man is dead following a shooting in Broken Arrow. It happened just after 3 p.m. Wednesday near 4400 West Lansing.

Police responded to a call that someone had been shot. When they arrived on the scene they found a man in his 40s with a gunshot wound to his head. They also found a weapon nearby. There was no sign of a struggle or forced entry.

Officers believe it was the man's son who found him and called police.

Residents who live in the area couldn't believe it happened in their neighborhood.

Police will not rule out suicide, but they did not find a note, so they're still investigating the shooting as a homicide.
