OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A woman suffered first degree burns to about 15% of her body when a clothes dryer caused a fire in her home in Oklahoma City Sunday. The 36-year-old woman was able to escape her burning home. Her name wasn't immediately released.

Officials say she suffered burns to her face, hands, arms and legs when a clothes dryer in the home caught fire about 1 p.m.

She was taken to Integris Baptist Medical Center in good condition.

The fire quickly spread into the home's attic because the dryer was improperly ventilating into the attic instead of venting to the outside.

The woman's home sustained an estimated $60,000 worth of damage.
