TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Sergio Garcia was disqualified Saturday from the PGA Championship in Tulsa for signing an incorrect scorecard.
Garcia signed for a four on the par-four 17th hole, when he in fact recorded a five. Garcia had made the cut on the number at five-over par.
He was playing alongside Boo Weekley, who was keeping his scorecard and wrote the score down incorrectly. It is the player's responsibility to check the card for accuracy and Garcia didn't do that.
Garcia had left the course and was not available for comment when his disqualification was announced.
