NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- Oklahoma offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson says opening Saturday's scrimmage to the public is in part to see how the three quarterback candidates react to game-type situations.
Wilson says Joey Halzle, Sam Bradford and Keith Nichol will be sharing time on the field and will be making the calls and setting the tempo.
The scrimmage is to start at 11.
Wilson says all three quarterbacks are getting an equal number of snaps in practice and there is no timetable for choosing a starter. But the coach acknowledges the sooner the competition is reduced to two or even one it would potentially be better.
