The countdown is on for Sooner fans. In just 25 days OU kicks off its season against North Texas. And this year fans will notice improvements to Memorial Stadium that includes new ribbon boards on the upper deck on the east and west sides, renovated bathrooms on the stadium's north and west sides, and updated concession stands.
"These are completely new structures; this was wide open space this time a year ago,†said OU Senior Associate Athletics Director Kenny Mossman. “We're going to be able to serve so many more people, so much more quickly."
The construction projects cost OU almost $20 million.
Fans will also see a brand new video board, and next year the scoreboard in the south end zone will become a 300-foot wide video board.
