OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ State Department of Human Services Director Howard Hendrick was cleared Tuesday of a child neglect complaint.
Attorney General Drew Edmondson says in a letter to Hendrick that an investigation has concluded the complaint is without merit.
Hendrick confirmed the investigation after his 13-year-old son Hudson was accidentally burned while burning brush during a family trip over the Fourth of July weekend.
The complaint apparently alleged Hendrick didn't promptly get emergency medical treatment for his son. Hendrick has said he contacted a doctor immediately and took his son to see a doctor the next morning.
