The suspect in the brutal hammer attack of two Chelsea pharmacy workers has waived his preliminary hearing. Steven Pierce will now go to trial.
Pierce turned himself into authorities back in May, just days after detectives say he walked into Chelsea Family Pharmacy and demanded drugs and money. Authorities say Pierce used a hammer to beat a pharmacist and technician who worked there.
Pierce is charged with robbery and assault and battery. His trial date has not been set yet.
