SEATTLE (AP) _ A Seattle University student died when she fell off a cliff while hiking in Chile, her family said.

Michaela Farnum got separated from a group of friends on Friday, said her brother, Jonathan Farnum of suburban Issaquah.

Chilean police said Farnum, 20, fell off a 165-foot cliff on La Campana mountain, about 70 miles northwest of Santiago.

Michael Farnum said the family was notified Saturday morning that park rangers had found her body.

Farnum was a junior studying international business and Spanish. She went to Chile in July for a six-month study program in Valaparaiso, Chile's second-largest city, about 80 miles west of Santiago.
