CORDELL, Okla. (AP) -- A Foss woman is dead and her husband is in serious condition after the couple's car collided with a tractor-trailer east of Cordell in Washita County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Juanita Wilson was dead at the scene of yesterday's accident, which happened about 4:20 in the afternoon near the intersection of state highway 152 and 54. Tulane Wilson was taken to an Oklahoma City hospital in serious condition.

The couple were eastbound on highway 152 when the OHP says a southbound tractor trailer driven by Ruben Maldonado of Hobart ran a stop sign.

The Wilsons' car slammed into the big rig at the intersection, pinning the couple inside for about 30 minutes. The patrol says Juanita Wilson died at the scene.
