UNDATED (AP) _ With their season openers about a month away, football players for Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are scheduled to report for preseason practice Wednesday.

In Stillwater, OSU has scheduled the Cowboys' first workout for Thursday. Practices will be open to the public through next Tuesday, including a Fan Appreciation Session on Saturday night and the team's first workout in full pads on Monday.

OU players in Norman will undergo a conditioning test Thursday before practicing with helmets only.

The Sooners will meet with the media and fans on Friday but otherwise their workouts will be closed.

The Cowboys and Sooners will play their respective season openers on September 1st.
