An accused killer is now in police custody. Police say Matthew Abrego beat Chris Simmons to death with a baseball bat early Monday morning at the Westminster Apartments. Abrego now faces first degree murder charges.

A second man, Michael Watson, is also charged with murder in the case. He told police he hit and kicked Simmons and helped clean up the crime scene, said authorities.
