OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A former Oklahoma State baseball player has signed to continue his career at Oklahoma City University of the NAIA. Brent Weaver, a junior 3rd baseman from Midwest City, is transferring to OCU from Rose State junior college, where he played last season and hit .399 with eight home runs and 37 RBIs.
Weaver pitched at OSU in 2004, making 12 appearances without a decision and recording a 3.12 ERA. He redshirted in 2005 because of an injury.
OCU is a national small-college power, having won at least 50 games during each of the past nine seasons and taking home the 2005 NAIA title for coach Denney Crabaugh.
