OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Governor Brad Henry is asking the federal government to expand the number of Oklahomans who can receive assistance for flood and storm damage. Henry wants federal authorities to add another 16 counties to a federal disaster declaration granted for individual assistance earlier this month.

The additional counties are Blaine, Bryan, Canadian, Cleveland, Cotton, Grady, Kiowa, Lincoln, Logan, McClain, Oklahoma, Payne, Pontotoc, Rogers, Seminole and Stephens.

Five counties already have been approved for individual assistance so far, including Comanche, Nowata, Ottawa, Pottawatomie and Washington.
