A murder suspect who escaped from the Delaware County jail on Sunday was recaptured without incident 32 minutes later. The Delaware County Sheriff's Office says Mark Thurman escaped from the jail through an open door as jail trustees were serving supper. He was captured a short time later.
The sheriff's office says Thurman was spotted by a Jay resident as the escapee was running thru a yard wearing only his orange colored jail pants. Deputies and Jay Police officers quickly caught up with Thurman and took him back to the Delaware County jail.
Thurman is waiting trial on the charge of first degree murder in the death of his father earlier this year.
