EDMOND, Okla. (AP) -- Parts of Arcadia Lake at Edmond will reopen Friday after being closed for nearly a month because of flooding. The lake closed June 29th after weeks of rain flooded roads and recreational areas and pushed the lake level as much as 12 feet above normal. The level was down to about nine feet above normal Wednesday.
Nicole Offutt with the lake office says there's no guarantee which areas of the lake will be open but she says the beaches are still underwater and will remain closed.
She says workers hope to have some campgrounds available and limited boating on the lake.
