Shooting Suspect Arrested

A Tulsa man has been booked into the Tulsa County jail following a shooting late Monday evening. Jesse Rodriguez faces shooting with intent to kill, assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction charges following the incident in west Tulsa.

Tulsa Police say Rodriguez hit one person in the head and shot another during the altercation near 50th and Union.

Police officers say some employees and patrons at a nearby KFC told officers they had witnessed several men beating up a woman and tried to help. Tulsa Police say Rodriguez and several other men involved in the assault, tried to get away but were stopped a block away by police officers. Seven people were taken into custody including Rodriguez.

Tulsa Police have not found the woman who was being beaten.
