JACKSON, Miss. (AP) _ An armed man and two women entered another woman's home Saturday morning wearing masks, tied her up and took off with her 5-month-old adopted girl, authorities said.
Agents are looking for Madison Erickson's biological mother ``just to see what she knows, if she knows anything about the situation,'' said FBI agent Jason Pack.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert after the kidnapping, and the FBI joined in the search in the afternoon. Authorities no longer consider the child in immediate danger and said the kidnapping suspects could be headed to Georgia.
``However, we're going to work night and day until we get her back,'' said Pack, who would not release the names of the child's adoptive or biological mothers.
Witnesses and family members have been questioned and a polygraph operator brought in, but no one has been asked to submit to a lie-detector test, Pack said.
The alert was just the fourth issued by the state since the program began in 2002, and the second in a week.
