ENID, Okla. (AP) -- Enid police are investigating an apparent double homicide after the bodies of two women are found in two different yards in a neighborhood on the city's south side.
Police have identified one of the victims as 56-year-old Beulah K. Hodges.
They said the other victim, a 34-year-old woman, is not being publicly identified until her family is notified of her death. Police say it is believed the two women were roommates.
Police Sergeant Eric Holtzclaw said early Wednesday afternoon that there have been no arrests thus far but that police were interviewing several persons of interest.
He says the women appeared to have been beaten to death, and police were preparing warrants to search the homes where the women were found.
