NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- The University of Oklahoma is about to begin a $2.4 million project at McCasland Field House to improve the Port Robertson Wrestling Center.
OU says former Sooner wrestler and now Norman businessman Rodney Thornton is donating $1 million of the total cost of the project.
The work will include three official size practice mats, practice observation area and open area for weight training in the renovated and expanded Port Robertson Wrestling Facility.
There also will be a new team room, a separate club team practice area and team training room for both wrestling and volleyball.
