HINTON, Okla. (AP) -- Two motorcyclists are dead after being hit by a pickup truck on U.S. Highway 281 south of Hinton in Caddo County. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Gregory Ballard and Brenda Fine of Yukon died in the crash.
Troopers say the two were on a motorcycle driven by Ballard when he slowed for an animal and were hit by a pickup truck driven by Amanda Smallen.
Investigators say Smallen had looked down to put a cup in a cupholder and when she looked up she was distracted by the same animal and crashed into the motorcycle.
