The Grand River Dam Authority Lake Patrol says in light of the recent heavy rains and the higher elevations of Grand and Hudson lakes they are advising boaters to be extra cautious on both lakes. GRDA officials say with higher lake levels, there is more driftwood and other debris floating in the water.
Officials say boaters also need to stay away from the floodgates and spillways of both lakes. The GRDA Lake Patrol says boaters need to obey the buoys designating the spillway areas and allow plenty of distance between buoys and their watercraft.
