OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Remington Park's stable area opened Monday morning to horsemen and thoroughbreds preparing for the track's upcoming race meet.

Trainer F.L. Downey of Midwest City was the first through the stable gate, bringing a group of six horses with him.

The Oklahoma City track will open for training purposes on July 5th, and the thoroughbred race meet will begin August 2nd.
