EDMOND, Okla. (AP) _ Authorities say no one was home when a house exploded northeast of Edmond early Thursday morning. Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office spokesman Mark Myers says the homeowner heard about the explosion on the news.

The explosion was reported about 4:30 a.m. and it took firefighters more than an hour to bring the flames under control.

Investigators with the state Fire Marshal's office are now on the scene trying to determine the cause of the blast.

Myers says the explosion blew debris up to 200 feet away and neighbor David Lindsey says the explosion rocked his mobile home two miles away.

The house is in far north Oklahoma County near the Logan County line.
