One of the two gas stations on the Will Rogers Turnpike will be closing for good this weekend. Fuel provider "EZ-Go" decided not to renew the lease for its service station in Miami. It will close it permanently at 5 p.m. Sunday.

That decision means the Vinita service plaza will be the only place for westbound motorists to stop for fuel between Tulsa and Missouri without leaving the Will Rogers Turnpike.

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority says it tried to get other fuel providers to service the location, but none considered it a reliable moneymaker.
