ARDMORE, Okla. (AP) _ Cameron University announced Monday that it will increase tuition and fees by an average of 9.4% next year to pay for increasing costs.
Rates for in-state undergraduate students will be $85.70 per credit hour. That's an increase of $7.30 per hour.
Out-of-state students will pay $111.20 per credit hour. Those rates went up by $9.50.
The University of Oklahoma Board of Regents approved the increases along with a budget of nearly $43 million for Cameron for the next fiscal year
Cameron says it will add new faculty positions in elementary education, communications and criminal justice and also implement a new honors program next year.
The Lawton university also has plans for an emergency alert system and increased scholarship opportunities.
