OKMULGEE, Okla. (AP) -- An Okmulgee woman is dead following a two-car crash on rain-slickened State Highway 66 in Creek County. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 29-year-old Heather Jean West died in the accident just before 5:30 Wednesday afternoon.
OHP troopers say West was a passenger in a car that swerved left of the center line in an effort to avoid the second car which had skidded on the wet pavement across the center line. The second car then re-entered its lane where the two vehicles collided.
