TULSA, Okla. (AP) The future home of the Tulsa Drillers remains undetermined, as team officials remain mum and two cities continue to try and woo the minor-league baseball team.

Jenks' city council has approved an 18-year tax increment financing district, a key step to advance plans for a 300-acre development in the suburb that would include a 7,000-seat stadium.

The Drillers signed a nonbinding letter of intent in August with the River District Development Group, although team owner Chuck Lamson said at the time that the letter would not prevent the Drillers from considering other possibilities.

The group's president, Lynn Mitchell, says negotiations with the team are ongoing but there is nothing to announce. Lamson did not return phone calls from the Tulsa World this week.

Tulsa also is actively negotiating with the Drillers, hoping to persuade them to move from Drillers Stadium, which is located at Expo Square, to a downtown location that is yet to be determined.
