NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) -- A 14-year-old boy who admitted to plotting an attack on a Philadelphia-area high school is to serve up to seven years in a juvenile center.
A judge ruled that Dillon Cossey should remain in the facility until he turns 21, unless courts decide he is rehabilitated before then.
The judge also had harsh words for Cossey's mother, saying she created a "me and mom against the world" attitude in her son. He said in court that the boy has been totally desocialized.
Authorities have accused Cossey's mother of helping him build his weapons stash. She is awaiting trial on charges of illegally buying him a 22-caliber handgun, a 22-caliber rifle and a 9-millimeter semiautomatic rifle.
