OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Oklahomans saw their personal income rise faster than that of the nation as a whole during the third quarter of 2007 and the state ranked fifth-best in the nation in personal income growth.
A report from the Bureau of Economic Analysis says personal income in the Sooner state grew by 1.8% during the quarter while the national rate was up 1.4%.
Personal income includes money from dividends, interest and rent.
The largest increase in Oklahoma's personal wealth came from the mining sector which includes the oil and gas industry.
