BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (AP) _ A state appeals court is upholding the legality of a deal that brought a Bass Pro Shops to Broken Arrow. The Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals is denying a motion by a group of Broken Arrow residents to declare the $20 million deal illegal.
The lawsuit accused city officials of violating state open meeting laws and of being ``duped'' by Bass Pro and others into taking responsibility for construction costs of the project.
The appeals court upheld a lower court ruling that the deal is legal and was made in good faith.
