The lights are back on at many Green Country schools. That means it's time for kids to hit the books again. Broken Arrow, Union and Jenks all say they're back in business. Tulsa Public Schools announced its plan for class on Monday. Tulsa Public Schools says the power is back at most of its schools, but not all of them.
Bryant, Carnegie, Jackson, McKinley, and Phillips Elementary Schools will not have class on Monday. Whitney Middle School and the Project 12 Alternative School also will be closed.
The Tulsa School district is still working on when they will begin make-up days.
"We also thought about using this next Friday, but a lot of parents and family are coming into town and are taking vacations and we really didn’t want to ruin any ones vacation that had been planned for this coming Friday, so we’ll be looking when we start next year," said TPS Superintendent Dr. Michael Zolkoski.
