ADA, Okla. (AP) Authorities say a car crossed the centerline and slammed head on into another vehicle, killing two people, including a 6-year-old boy, and seriously injuring several others.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the accident happened about 5:40 p.m. on Friday on State Highway 3, about 13 miles west of Ada.
The patrol says Hollie Bowyer of Del City was driving eastbound when her car crossed the centerline and crashed into a vehicle driven by Frankie Harjo of Ada. Damien Lawrence, a 6-year-old Midwest City boy in Bowyer's car, and 26-year-old Christy Harjo of Ada, a passenger in the other vehicle, both died at the scene.
Bowyer, Frankie Harjo and a 14-year-old girl in Harjo's car all were transported to hospitals in critical condition. A 9-week-old baby boy in Harjo's car also was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
