Jenks Public Schools welcomed a Chinese principal to campus on Monday. It was part of an international principal exchange program. The goal of the program is for educators to learn more about teaching methods in other cultures.
Through his interpreter, Principal Xia says technological advances are highly important in the educational environment. But, he says teachers and students shouldn’t become solely dependent on technology. He also says staying with host families, has allowed him to experience American home life as well.
Principal Xia arrived in Jenks last week. He will leave Saturday for New York and Washington, D.C. before returning home.
