Arson is suspected in a fire that destroyed a mobile home early Friday morning. The fire started around 1:30 a.m. near West 41st Street in the Keystone area. Chief George Blackburn of the Keystone Fire Department said an investigation is currently underway as to what caused the fire.
"Our biggest concern was that no one was here," said Fire Chief George Blackburn. "It had been abandoned for about four or five years. Everything is contained but the loss of the mobile home."
Blackburn also said that the electric was shut off to the residence, which is leading the fire crew to believe arson is involved.
Fire crews also discovered vandals had knocked over about a dozen mailboxes and several signs in the area, yet are still uncertain if the two incidents are related.
