LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Trying to prevent information from leaking out, a lawyer representing Britney Spears is asking court officials to prevent county authorities from reviewing court filings in the pop star's custody dispute.
An attorney says the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services is a "large bureaucracy with thousands of employees" and the details could easily leak out. The department is investigating Spears' parenting skills.
The hearing was then closed to the public, so if there was a decision, it might not be released.
Britney Spears and her ex-husband Kevin Federline divorced in July and are now wrangling over custody issues.
