TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Two teams of University of Tulsa law students have been invited to a national competition after finishing in the top three regionally. The third-year TU law students have been invited to the American Bar Association Negotiations national finals in Los Angeles. The school says they finished first and third, respectively, at the ABA Regional Negotiations Competition.
The regional competition featured 24 teams representing 12 law schools in Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Kansas.
The team of Gil Pilkington and Michon Hughes, both of Tulsa, won first place. The team of Linda Hem of Dallas and Corey Rogers of Germantown, Texas, tied for second but finished third by virtue of a tiebreaker.
