DUNCAN, Okla. (AP) - Two southwestern Oklahoma banks have agreed to merge, pending regulatory approval. Waurika National Bank will merge into the First Bank and Trust Company of Duncan, which has total assets of more than $327.7 million and capital of more than $41.9 million.

Once the banks merge, the total assets will rise to $346.1 million, with loans outstanding of more than $275.6 million.

The Waurika bank will change its name to First Bank and Trust Company once the merger is completed. First Bank and Trust has offices in Carter, Stephens and Cleveland counties, while Waurika National Bank serves Jefferson County.
