LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska is searching for a new football coach after the firing of Bill Callahan on Saturday. The dismissal comes a day after the school's storied program finished with a 5-and-7 mark which was only the second losing season since 1962.

Interim athletic director and legendary Nebraska coach Tom Osborne says he told Callahan at an October meeting a losing record would lead to his firing.

Osborne says he has spoken to no one about any interest in the Nebraska coaching job.
